1965-1966 Steinweiss (and not) covers on Decca
Continuing with my attempts to figure out which of the DL 4000s are by Steinweiss. A number of these are. I am almost done with my collection of DL 4000s. After that I will go to DL 8000s, which start … Continue reading
next nine decca 4000s. remotely possibly steinweiss
The next nine Decca 4000s that I have collected. Some of these are Steinweiss, and some probably aren’t. I seem to be erring on the side of inclusion.
the next five Decca Steinweisses, time to scan some more
These are the next five steinweiss decca 4000s from the 1960s. To me they are all definite Steinweiss covers, but I don’t know for sure. I have now used up all the ones I have already scanned, and have to … Continue reading
nine more steinweiss (?) decca covers
The next nine. I think that claiming some of them to be steinweiss is probably stretching it, but others are pretty obvious. Don Jacoby is the first record on which Keith Jarrett played.
next nine decca dl4000s. guessing that many are steinweiss designs
I don’t have a master list of Steinweiss records. I am sure some of these are his, and guessing on the others. The Cavallero is the least likely in my opinion.
the next nine decca dl4000s, many probably steinweiss
continuing the posting of decca dl4000s. most of these are probably steinweiss, but they are unsigned and there is no way for me to know for sure.
Decca Golden Favorites by Steinweiss
I was just going to show the next six or nine Decca 4000s, when number four turned out to be Red Foley Golden Favorites. That made me change courses and upload all the Golden Favorites records that I had scanned. … Continue reading
brazen brass, henry jerome and his orchestra, steinweiss covers
One of the great pleasures of collecting anything is getting a complete set. These, I believe, are all of the Henry Jerome and his Orchestra records on Decca, all but one of them called Brazen Brass. As I have said … Continue reading

the next six decca DL 4000s, possibly steinweiss
again, Decca DL 4000s are not signed. None of these are necessarily Alex Steinweiss designs, but all of them look like they could be. Joe Weitz designed for Decca, and his covers are very similar – some signed Weitz covers … Continue reading
