David Stone Martin is the only person to draw on commission for Grand Award who is famous – no one but me seems to care about Irwin Rosenhouse, Tracy Sugarman, and Elmer Wexler. One of these, the Coleman Hawkins, is genuinely collectible – which is rare in my collection. Who is David Stone? I think from the drawing style it is not David Stone Martin, but could there have been two artists working for the same company with such similar names?
