MG50015 is signed by the designer, but I can’t read it. It is clearly not Maas’ signature. The rest of these are almost definitely Maas, but this one gives me pause about my identification abilities.

MG50015 was illustrated by Freund Lurye. The Aaron Copland title (MG50018) is a bit of a mystery to me. It is signed “D. Maas” … so obviously not George, but I’m not sure who that is.

I have found that there was a company in New York called Freund-Lurye Designs, with one of the partners being Margaret Lurye. They also did book jackets and covers for the Tops Masterpieces label. Sometimes the hyphen in the name seems to be missing. Don’t know Freund’s first name.
