another Columbia quasi-generic design

Columbia records, inventor of the lp cover, fooled around with lp covers in the early years. We have already seen totally generic covers, and the covers with the stickers. Here is another attempt they made, putting a generic border and the information in a stripe in the center. This one is signed Darrill Connelly, one of my favorite designers. It is unusual for Connelly, I wouldn’t have recognized it without the signature. I would have thought it was monogram, another Columbia designer, whoever monogram was.
