In honor of the memory of Alex Steinweiss, who died this week, I have decided to take a break from the systematic posting by catalog number. I am going to post some favorite Steinweiss covers from all periods of his work. The first two posts will be repeats of things I already posted. Here, they are because I like them.
This post is 10 inch 78 rpm sets. The first two came out in the first year of his career, 1939. The others date from his golden age, the mid to late 1940s. My absolute favorites are in the next post, 12 inch 78 rpm sets. But these are wonderful also.
