ML4096 in all its glory

Here is MM785 – the 78 rpm set of Oscar Levant and Eugene Ormandy playing Tchaikovsky, and ML4096, the lp version of it.
What makes this especially fun is that it illustrates everything Columbia was issuing in those days, other than a 45 rpm set. There are two of the generic column covers, in two different colors. There are two of the sticker covers, on different colors of cardboard. The sticker simplifies the 78 rpm set design, which is by Alex Steinweiss. Then the full lp cover repeats the 78 rpm set cover, with slight modifications. A lovely little collection, I think.
